Privacy
- The numbers you type are not sent to a server. Reading a NIK or KK number, searching region codes, generating test numbers, and exporting images all run as JavaScript in your browser. The code can be inspected with your browser's view source.
- No account, no tracking cookies, no storage. Closing the page discards everything you typed. Files you download are saved only on your device, with file names that do not contain identity numbers.
- Network requests that do happen: only loading this site's pages, fonts, and files from this site's own domain. There are no requests to third parties such as Google Fonts or ad networks, and none carries the numbers you type.
- Visit statistics. If used, only aggregate, cookie-free statistics (visits per page). They never contain the numbers you type.
Data sources and updates
- Region codes: Minister of Home Affairs Decree No. 300.2.2-2430 of 2025 (amending Decree No. 300.2.2-2138 of 2025 on assigning and updating administrative region and island codes), via the open dataset cahyadsn/wilayah (MIT licence), file
db/wilayah.sqlat commit7586f42(8 October 2026), retrieved 13 October 2026 and converted into a list of 38 provinces, 514 regencies/cities, and 7,285 districts by the extraction script shipped with this site's source code. Village codes are not used. - NIK and KK number structure: Law No. 23 of 2006 on Population Administration as amended (Law No. 24 of 2013) and its implementing regulations.
- NPWP format: Minister of Finance Regulation PMK 112/PMK.03/2022 as amended by PMK 136 of 2023, tax directorate press release SP-21/2024, and published explanations of the 15-digit format. The NPWP tool only reads the structure of the number and is not connected to the tax directorate.
- Historical codes. NIKs issued before a region was split carry old codes that may not be in this list. The tools mark those as "not in the list", not as "fake".
- Official service channels (Dukcapil, OJK, mobile operators) were compiled from official channels and news coverage, last checked October 2026. Service numbers change; check the institution's official account before use.
- Weton is computed from the five-day pasaran cycle with 17 August 1945 (Friday Legi) as the reference, cross-checked against other commonly known dates.
Limits you should know
- The tools read the structure of a number only. A "format OK" result is not evidence that the number is registered, active, or belongs to a particular person.
- Names, addresses, photos, and registration status can only be confirmed by Dukcapil through official channels.
- The downloadable card and sheet images are sample renderings, not documents. Names, photos, and other rows are filled in only when the user types them. Every image is always covered by a “Sample only” watermark, the signature reads Sample, and there is no state emblem.
